i feel like i say this all the time, but this was one of my favorite movies in high school. ok, short list of favorite movies so you know i dont just say thing about everything:

1. velvet goldmine

2. trainspotting

3. american psycho

4. talented mr ripley

5. titus

6. magnolia

there that sums it up. whole lot of fucked up. its so funny that this movie came out when it did because i was RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS, totally living it. obsessive friendship, lies, acting, pretending, becoming. the line between friendship and love. being a leech, being a chameleon.

oh man, such good times. matt damon was so young and skinny and so believably gay. jude law was just fucking GORGEOUS, not that he isnt anymore, but you know. like a fucking adonis. and full nudity! 

its weird now though, because when you see jude law and gwyneth paltrow hanging out together its like, i really feel like robert downey jr should be there.
